The D-40 is eminently playable, courtesy of its comfortable mahogany neck and smooth ebony fingerboard. You also get a whole host of high-end appointments, including a bone nut and saddle, diamond fingerboard inlays, and 18:1 open-back tuners. The Larrivee D-40 comes garlanded with maple Bold Rope binding, a Bold Rope rosette, a tortoise pickguard, and an attention-grabbing satin finish.
