The Ibanez AEG acoustic/electric guitar has been well-accepted for more than two decades for its easy playability. With the new AEG70 Grand Concert, Ibanez has renewed features of this acoustic/electric guitar in accordance with the changing music and fashion trends, especially as it relates to electronics. The look that Ibanez is going for now with the AEG70 is a focus on the concept of “simple and easy control.” This guitar is sold as a factory second for some minor finish splits , they are in the clear coat, not the wood or paint , very minor and purely cosmetic.

The Ibanez AEG70 begins with a redeveloped preamp—the Ibanez AEQ-TTS, a small and simple-faced preamp that has only two control knobs: volume and shape. The at-a-glance tone control of the Ibanez AEG70 offers natural acoustic sound in the center position, making it possible for players to adjust the tone easily and enabling them to create from low, fat and powerful sound to bright and crispy sound with the turn of one knob. The AEG70’s new, easy-to-read onboard tuner with LCD (liquid crystal display) is located on the preamp. The Ibanez AEG70 also comes with a simplified rosette, a binding and an ornament on headstock, all of which adds a sharp and stylish atmosphere to the guitar.

Other features of the Ibanez AEG70 include a flamed maple top and Sapele back and sides, Ibanez T-bar II undersaddle pickup, which equalizes the volume from each string and delivers a well-balanced signal, and special bulb-shaped Ibanez Advantage bridge pins for easy string installation.

Why do some of the used instruments have a “used” stamp on the back of the headstock?

This step is a long-standing agreement we have had with some of our manufacturing partners taken to protect their interests and to prevent the filing of improper warranty claims.  For many consumers, the “used” stamp is recognized as a sign of quality, giving confidence that an instrument originating from MIRC has been properly set-up and refurbished by a professional tech.
